Creation of knowledge-based industries is
the broader vision of the Government of Kerala. Many novel
steps are adopted by the Government in this regard which includes
creation of India’s first digital university and declaring
internet as a basic right for citizens.

First time in the country, a Development and Innovation
Strategic Council was created as a strategic think-tank and advisory body of
the Government of Kerala. Kerala Development and Innovation
Strategic Council (K-DISC's) main goals are creating an environment
for innovation, promoting innovation in the state, enhancing
innovation spirit and talent.

With 5000+ startups, 63+ incubators, 502 mini-incubators,
Rs. 5,800 crores external funding, around 60,000 jobs
generated and engaging with over 1,00,000 students
annually, Kerala Start Up Mission groomed Kerala as one of
the best Start Up Ecosystems in the country.
