Policies and Incentives

  • The Industrial Policy 2023 of Kerala was designed to transform the state into a major investor destination. This policy focuses on 22 Priority Sectors expected to attract investments and lists 18 incentives for investors. Policy can be accessed from here.
  • To promote exports and facilitate the creation of more industrial and logistic infrastructure, the Government of Kerala is planning to publish a new Logistic Policy and a new Export Policy. Drafts can be accessed from: Logistic Policy Draft , Export Policy Draft
  • In 2024, the Industries and Commerce Department introduced the Unified Industrial Land/Building (Allotment & Disposal) Regulations for Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) and Kerala Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC).
    This policy enables entities to set up industrial units on KSIDC and KINFRA-owned land or buildings, offering subsidies and financial assistance, including an upfront payment of only 10% of the land cost. More details can be found here.
